1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Mauvy. mobile app and the mauvy.me website (together, the "Service"), operated by Mauvy. ("we", "us"). By downloading the app, creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Who can use Mauvy.

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country) to use the Service. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials and device lock secure. You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

4. Your content

Mauvy. is a private diary: the confessions, recordings, notes and mood entries you create ("Your Content") belong to you. We claim no ownership over Your Content.

You grant us only the limited technical licence needed to store, back up and display Your Content to you, so the Service can function. We do not publish Your Content, share it with other users, or use it for advertising.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service: no attempts to breach security, reverse-engineer the app, interfere with its operation, use it for unlawful purposes, or upload content that infringes the rights of others. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

6. The app is provided "as is"

We work hard to keep Mauvy. safe and reliable, but the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Mauvy. is a personal diary and wellbeing companion — it is not a medical device and does not provide medical, psychological or therapeutic advice. If you are struggling, please reach out to a qualified professional or a local helpline.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including your statutory consumer rights.

8. Subscriptions and purchases

If paid features are introduced, pricing and billing terms will be shown clearly in the app before any purchase. Purchases made through the App Store or Google Play are also subject to the respective store's terms and refund policies.

9. Intellectual property

The Mauvy. name, logo, design and software are our property or licensed to us, and are protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our branding without prior written permission.

10. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time (see our Privacy Policy for data deletion). We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, with notice where required by law.

11. Changes to the Service or these Terms

We may update the Service and these Terms over time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in your country of habitual residence to the extent required by mandatory consumer-protection rules, and otherwise by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Mauvy. operates.
